A touch of warmth with a pinch of kindness
It’s a good day today eve though it rained a bit when I arrived at office. But that didn’t brush off the day I’m having and the drops of rain kind off gave me a refreshing feeling yet like after chewing a mint and tasting the minty fresh feeling afterwards.
Anyways, I took the bus as usual, no.16, which brings me from Dato Keramat straight to Pasar Seni where it is nearby the agency. Along the way, the bus was packed like a can of sardines and oh my god! It was horrible. Not because of the people but because I can see some elder folks standing around and was not even offered a seat by these younger cretins or future generations. I felt as if I wanted to give an announcement on the bus to those who are able to give up their seats. Luckily enough, I managed to save a seat for this elder and he rushed like a bull being force to move. He didn’t say any thank you but it was all right for me. That small action of kindness gave some warmth to my heart and realizes that I’m still human and I graciously thank my mother for giving birth to me. As I was saying, the small gesture of kindness can actually bring you a long way because 15 minutes or so afterwards, a guy offered a seat next to him when he can offer to the girls and the other guys on the bus! I guess he noticed the actions that I did for the old guy and decided I should be rewarded with a seat for my goodwill!
As I sat down, I really felt touched by my emotions because this is the society that we should be living in. Respect, to the elder, let kindness spread and it could change a lot of things to a better life. Trust me on that because sometimes, its hard to do these kinds of gestures because of reasons I don’t know but, if people practice it once in a while, it will remind them that they are humans and humans should be able to feel the kindness that they offer and receive.
