When you have more time with your family but your security is not sustainable.

  Credit: Takehiro Inoue For the past 19 odd years, I've been working nonstop in the advertising industry. Unreasonable deadlines, clients, colleagues and drama have always been the norm. But I enjoy the process and the people I worked with. Of course, there are some ego here and there but that's to be expected in an industry that lives in its own little bubble. Even when my son was born, he is five today, the only time I would have with him is when I am back from work around 8pm, on a daily basis. Usually, I have the Friday off to WFH but that is also occupied with time from work. So, I would probably see him at home, but I would be cooped up in my little mancave.  Yeah, there was no time and the weekend became my son and wife's moment to have me for themselves.  Now that I have more time at home, it feels odd. It feels strange. Yes, I do feel a bit relieved to not be stuck in the rat race again but it was the rat race that I am accustomed to. To have more time is a bles...
