The first week of 2021: Ruthless.

It's interesting how in the past, well not so far back, whenever the new year rears its head, I'll be filling up a list to complete my fulfilling new year.

-lose weight

-win awards

-win business pitches

-get a new car

-come up with another list

But I think I'll make an exception this time around. Since 2020 was a historical year whereby the pandemic pretty much changed the way mankind lived. I don't blame 2020 for the shit that happened. These things are beyond my control. And the only thing that I can do is adapt and survive.

So with the first week of 2021 just pretty much went by at a painful and tough pace, I thought I forget doing any list and just take each day the way I see fit. The more I think about making a new year's resolution list, the more it didn't make sense to me. It's all about adapting and surviving.

About the one thing that changed, I try not to get upset about things that will never save a life. Particularly in my career. Still, I will not compromise good work; I will not settle for normal; I will focus on my health and my family.

Hmm, sounds like a list, ain't it?

I hope January will be quite forgiving. Then again, that's all in our head right?

Stay safe. Stay home, people.
