Born lazy.

Contrary to popular belief, Malays are not always lazy than others.

The general perception has always been that Malays are lazy, Chinese are hardworking and Indians are untrustworthy. Bullocks. WE choose to be lazy, hardworking and trustworthy. It is in choices that we determine the outcome of our future. So don't go blaming our skin, creed, and etc. That's very immature. The blame game is over. Stay in it and you'll just add fuel to the general perception.

So start making choices. Doesn't matter whether it is today or tomorrow, just make it. Choices are powerful. I chose not to dwell in self pity when my parents passed away. I chose not to be a victim when my work was not chosen. The work wasn't good enough. Period. So choose to make a better work.

Trust me on this. It is empowering.

Want to talk to that girl who is sitting by herself in the train? Go. Forget all the dumb thoughts running through your brain right then and there. Will she like me? Will she think I'm weird? Am I too fat? Am I sweating?

Begone. Polarize things. It is also another form of choice.

You choose to sit at your desk and do work instead of having lunch with your colleagues - DO IT. The status quo begs you to talk and chat during lunch but you DON'T HAVE TO OBEY IT.

The status quo orders you to work late hours. Be a workaholic. The more time you spend in the office means the more recognition you get. Not true.

Choose to work faster. More efficient. And go home when everything is done. The winners are the ones who finish a race ahead time. While the rests say 'Life is a Marathon'.

No. If life is a marathon, then you should be competing in a bigger track. Not stuck in the same route.

Choices.
