I was with the wifey today at KLCC. I got tickets to R.E.D, an action packed movie based on a comic by DC. It's about four retired hitmen and they are being hunted. Except the prick who wanted these awesome foursome dead didn't know they were equivalent to the Four Horsemen.
Anyways, while we were waiting for the movie to start, we saw the great A.Samad Said. I mean you can't miss his trademark long silver hair anywhere. He was with the missus too. And me and the wifey were giggling like little school girls.
As soon as we got into our seats, the wifey wondered who were the people that will be sitting next to us. And the wifey went on to say wouldn't it be cool if A.Samad Said sat there and watched R.E.D with us! I mean that would completely shock us more. Knowing this esteemed intellect and Malaysia's very own national treasure, watching a flick about old hitmen shooting and blowing things up along the way towards destruction.
I joked it would be awesome if A.Samad Said watched this movie and got inspired to write a poem or a sonnet. For example:
Orang tua sedang menembak,
Tapi dua orang muda di sebelah ku,
Asyik mengatal dan bermiang,
Cibai aku nak tengok wayang, bukan tengok kamu.
Or something like dat la.
After a while, the lights went off. And me and the missus cuddled up.
Suddenly, our dream came true.
A.SAMAD SAID SAT NEXT TO US! IN THE MOVIE FEATURING WILLIS, FREEMAN, MALKOVICH AND MIRREN!!!! A GUN TOTING VIOLENT AND MINDLESS MOVIE! AND A.SAMAD SAID IS WATCHING IT!!
The missus and I became really quiet. And our imagination went amok. We didn't know what to expect.
