So, Award winners are not all that after all.
I've met some advertising award winners. In my mind, they are like the super creatives in the ad industry. But reality is painful. And these so-called "award winners" are crappy as well. Especially when it comes to real day to day job.
Ask them a few questions about an ad, and they are stumped. The good ones know what to do though. So that's how I differentiate them. Award winners are good in real work, and solve problems. No matter how small or big the problem is.
So, to all you award winners out there, you are not so special after all.
