Revisit Lost in Translation.

I watched Sofia Coppola's 'Lost in Translation' for the millionth time last weekend. And one of the things that really persuaded me to watch this beautiful, artistic movie is Bill Murray and Japan. Forget Scarlett Johansson. She was just 'meh'.

The scene in Kyoto, where a married couple walked together in a temple, is breathtakingly beautiful. And add an enchanting music to that scene, Air's 'Alone in Kyoto', my heart and mind fluttered away. In fact, it touched my heart just because the sheer beauty, peace and tranquility of that scene.

Even though this was Sofia Coppola's first directorial debut, it gave me the impression that it was done by a film master. I can't lavish enough praise to Sofia Coppola for creating this movie.

In fact, she deserved to be praised due to the fact that when I watched this movie, I felt that I was in Tokyo itself (which in 2008, my dream came true. I was in Tokyo for a week). And only a few film directors can pull that off.

This is not a movie review. Heavens forbid that I have enough intelligence nor sensitivity to do so. This is in fact merely a confession. A confession of my love towards Japan.

But wait a minute. What about Bill Murray? Where does he fit in the picture?

It's Bill Murray. You don't need words to express how amazing he was in this movie. In fact, ever since he was in this movie, he has been receiving tons of offers. And ultimately, the revival of his stardom.

Go ahead. Find the movie. See it for yourself.

Maybe you'll like it for something else. Maybe for Scarlett Johansson or the lovely and still young Anna Faris.

But I promise you this, you won't regret it.
