Talent.
All of us have a talent for something. Be it singing, writing, acting, directing and etc, there's always a place for someone. And talent means the ability to do something effortlessly. Doing that specific thing is like a second skin to you.
But hang on. Let me pose a question now. What if you are not talented and yet can still maintain your job?
What does that mean? Does it mean your boss is emphatic over you? Does it mean you are on the pay grade because the management pities you?
If that's the case, get out of that job. Keeping a job because of pity's sake doesn't make you any better than those murderers and rapists (I'm exaggerating here). It's pathetic.
Go out and find what you are good at. Then the money will come. And if you are already in your late 20s or 30s, don't be afraid. Some of the most talented people I've met never knew they were good at something else. In fact, they rose even faster in their respective fields when they discovered their talent.
So don't despair. Forget the status quo. You stop doing what you love to do when the time comes. Until then, whether you are 80 or 20, go on and do something you are freakin good at.
You'll be famous in your own field. I can promise you that.
Now, are you talented at what you are currently doing?
