Political Stage

I must be getting old cuz it seems that I've been keeping up with the political issue that's occurring in our country as I type.

First and foremost, let me make a stand.

I love my country no matter what.
It is where I was born.
It is where I learned to speak the language.
It is where I had a chinese girlfriend.
It is where I belong.

So do not be offended with what I have to say further on.

I do not know who is Raja Petra Kamaruddin is but based from Malaysiakini and his blog, it seems that this man is a martyr to this country. He preaches power to the people and to rise against the unjust political situation in this country. And how it is hurting the nation itself.

And out of the blue, he was captured by ISA - the Internal Security Act. This body was formed to apprehend Malaysian citizens that were a threat to the country.

If fighting for the rights and the well-being of Malaysia is a threat then I must be living in some weird Twilight Zone. Maybe you are too. But I digress, my point being is that, and let me explain this in a metaphorical way. If a strong tree bark is ripped from the earth, the roots will still be in the ground.

So there is bound to be another RPK in the making. And he will rise and speak the truth and highlight the unjust political issue that is happening in Malaysia.

Now Theresa Kok. I was supposed to vote for her but unfortunately I was having a paintball game on that day. Nevertheless her arrest by the ISA was a shock, or more like a whack in the face. Why are they doing this? Despite allegations by our respective papers saying that she was going around asking mosques to tone down the jemaah or preach, well, somehow seems a bit out of proportion.

Btw, before I continue, a Candlelight vigil for Teresa Kok will be held tonight, 7pm at DAP PJ HQ.

Everyone is welcome and do pass the word around. May Allah protect her from any harm. Amin.

No 24, Jalan 20/9, Paramount Garden,
46300, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
Tel: +603-79578022/79578127
(see map)

The vigil is being held just before the DAP CEC Emergency meeting on the ISA arrests.

Anywho, cmon man! That to me just seem to be another gimmick to cause or incite unrest among the good people of Malaysia. Think Pak Lah, think. If you want to get on people's good side, teach your boys in the parliment some manners and ask them to think before acting it out. Or send them to a tactic school or something. Damn.

Unfortunately I do not know the last ISA detainee but I heard that he or she was let of the hook. Guess she wasn't the big fish they were going for upon checking her records and if she had a blog.

Sigh.

Before I end this quite obnoxious article, I would like to say something that I thought I would never say.

If I was interested in politics, I would've joined UMNO because I believed that it was a party that is fully focused on bridging the gap that between the Malays, Chinese and Indians in Malaysia ( in no particular order).

And when I joined UMNO, I will work my ass off to be a disciple to UMNO greats such as Mahathir, Anwar, Tun Musa and you of course. There are more but I feel that you were one of the Giants in UMNO.

Sadly sir, this was all an illusion. And for all the aspiring young politicians that had grand ambitions to help the people by joining UMNO, well, you've lost them out to PKR.

Here's to Malaysia.

Brader, I want to share with you a sentence from Anne Frank's diary:
"In spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart."

She was a Holand teenage girl who was seprated from her family, tortured and died in one of the German concentration camp. Don't laugh at me, she remains one of my favorite mentors. You should see her charming smile :)
That's a beautiful sentence.

And my friend, why would I laugh at you? In retrospect you should be proud of taking her as your mentor.

Don't let my cynical moment disarm you from your positivity.

Nevertheless, I am against ISA. And your 'cynical' words really hit the nail.
My words are simply encapsulated from the heart.

ISA was meant to capture communist practitioners. But this country is long gone from that. Now ISA's purpose is to apprehend anyone in Malaysia that threatens the powers that be.

Sadly.

Hey, brader, you wanna wait til cows come home and breed and their calves come home and breed, then only update your blog?
As much as I'm grateful by your enthusiasm Joseph, to read my blog, I humbly apologize as there are matters in life that I need to handle. Rest assured when I come back, I come back with a bang.

Cheers

i respect people's view as much as i respect yours. to me ISA is a need in Malaysia whether you like it or not. its not just for the communism but also for the country safety. look at other country (you can even wikipedia-ing internal security for more info), they also have this ISA or whatever term they might called. look back at may 15 tragedy, how it started? maybe you can get a copy of the report (its red in color).

read again what has MCA and MIC said before independent? they were agree with the perlembagaan as the minority and so on. but now they are seeking for equality in Malaysia? look at the poverty stats, does it looks like they are at top or our own race? even though they are the minority in malaysia they are rich and got secure job. what about the majority? many of them still live in poor and left behind. DAP is holding penang now, do you think the equality they are saying out loud can be achieved? still there are so many chinese who are poor. why? cronysm never ending even not in BN but there is still in DAP. the rich becomes richer and poor becomes poorer. thats life and thats what happen in the whole world.

talking abou rpk and teresa. i never against rpk but the last post in his blog really annoys me. who is he to debate about our holy quran? quran is not for everyone to interpret by our own simple brain. its not our field or specialty to talk or brag about it. so to me he deserved to be put in ISA or jailed. do you want more peoples out there to insult Islam as what he did? i know his intention is to highlight the lazy malay but to translate quran on his version and verse is not right, not at all. about teresa, she is such an ungrateful citizen i've ever seen. complaining of Jawi on the signboard isn't a good move and complaining about food at ISA isn't the focus too. she is full of craps... nothing much i'd say rather than listening to a rubbish bin talking.

do you think parti rakyat which includes PAS, Keadilan and DAP can stand last? trust me they won't. with different ideology they will collapse sooner or later. BN is the best now even though i had voted for keadilan at my area, it was BN's fault for simply putting people who we didn't know. i hope BN will wake up after the election tsunami in march and be a better party and stronger.

i love malaysia... and i won't be as liberal as chengwee who sang malaysiakuku wiith proud back stabbing malay and islam.

democracy and liberal are 2 different things... humongous.
